I stayed in this apartment for several months in 2019. In addition to the spectacular view, I really appreciated the decoration of the apartment, the renovated kitchen as well as the terrace accessible from bedroom. Working from home, peace and quiet are decisive factors and everything is perfect from this point of view. The apartment allows you to enjoy the beauty of Old Lyon and the proximity to transport while keeping sufficient distance from tourist areas.
Finally, the staff of Urban Sejour was super responsive and pleasant.
In short, after several years abroad I was very satisfied to be able to put my bags in this apartment for a few months.
As the comment above said, this is a 5 star apartment and service.
My family had the pleasure of staying here for a year (August 2010 to July 2011) it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It was my wife and I and our 12 year old daughter. For us the apartment was perfect. The view was spectacular (watching the weather and amazing light come and go was fantastic) With the owners help we made a desk and work area in the entrance foyer which worked perfectly. Internet was fast and reliable. You can see some photos of our time there at 3frenchwindows.blogspot.com. Also, the owner was one of the nicest people I met the entire year. He was fun to be with, taught us much about French culture and worked with us to accommodate any needs we had related to the apartment right away. He was easy going, kind and friendly – helped us with all issues including finding good shops and restaurants. The view was mind blowing! (did I mention that already?) The location was perfect – a quick walk down the hill to everything you might want as well as public transportation for anything further afield. The only caveat about staying here is that there is a pretty steep climb up the street to the apartment, however, this little bit of exercise was just enough to earn the baguette and amazing cheese we ate nearly every day. If you have health issues that might prevent walking 15 minutes up a steep hill you could take the funicular up to a station above and walk down. For us the short hike up the hill was great and was a happy price for a great view. Also, across the street there’s this tiny little cliff park that was lovely and might not be obvious until you get there. I could not recommend staying here more highly – the longer the stay the better. You will find the apartment, cool and quiet. The neighbors were very quiet. the super high ceilings gave the rooms a very comfortable feeling. 5 stars in every way.
